Power Consumption of a Cathodic Protection Rectifierβ
Rectifiers require AC power to drive the cathodic protection system on a 24-hour basis. High resistance ground beds can drive up the cost of AC power.
Rectifier power consumption is calculated,
P = 1.5ERIR
π β Power consumption per month(kWh)
πΈπ β Rectifier output voltage(V)
πΌπ β Rectifier current output(Amps)
MB = PUr
ππ΅ β Monthly bill(Dollars)
πr β Utilities rate($/kWh)
