Currently, no way has been found to use the factor of safety as calculated in Level 3 as a pass/fail criterion like Level 2.
- Level 2 is able to utilize factor of safety as a Pass/Fail criteria because it’s a realistic but conservative time frame (~0-2 min or the end of simulation).
Since the factor of safety is just an indicator and not a criteria for design, it is recommended for Level 3 calculations to use a pipeline movement criterion to determine minimum Concrete Weight Coating thickness.
